The children of Israel were in captivity for 400+ years; they were made slaves to serve the Egyptians for generations. They were slowly ground down to the point where they did not believe their God nor believe who they really were.

But Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

Exodus 7:4

Israel was at their worst - looking for the answers, stripped of everything including their dignity. They cried out to God for deliverance and God's response was to tell them who they were... His army, His people!

Israel had a slave mentality while God had an army mentality.

God is not moved by your need - God did not deliver Israel because they were in need (they were in need for 400 years and their cries fell on deaf ears) but He delivered them because God wanted an army.

God is moved by your FAITH - If God responded to 'need', every hospital would be empty. God is purely moved by faith and wherever Jesus went, He drew out faith. This way of response takes away any prejudice of race, colour or creed. What validates you and what makes you relevant is your faith that you believe what you are here for.

You validate yourself on your own personal faith - build yourself up in your most holy faith.

Even in the New Testament (the period of grace) God starts with The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: (Matthew 1:1) There was 400 years between the Old and New Testament, God purposefully named David as the first forefather and then Abraham, even though Abraham was the first in chronological order.

DAVID is the giant-slaying warrior who raised one of the most powerful armies of its time and introduced Kingdom order and dominion to the world.

A common misconception that is the church should only be loving, gracious, giving and merciful but there is another side to the church also... the church should be militant, strong and forcefully advancing.

David could only spend so much time looking after 'sheep'

Real Christians are not sheep-herders, real

Christians have to get to the battlefield.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:4

There is no gender in The Kingdom and Army of God. God only sees a heart beating and a faith exuding.

The message of militancy must return to the church - under the commanding officer, Jesus Christ.

There is no possession without a militant mentality and military possession cannot happen with soft, malakos (Greek: soft, weak and effeminate) Christians.

“What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses...Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."

Matthew 11:7

Subtly the world plays a tune and the church has chosen to dance to it.

It says "feed the poor and do good works but leave the governing to us"

But in Isaiah (9:6) it says

The modern church is a civilian church rather than a soldier-orientated church

Civilians are pawns, they do not fight. Civilians are at the whim of the army and without the military, there is chaos.

This current order relies on the masses being civilians but the military establishes a New Order.

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:4

We have got to fight on this side of Glory. So many people do not know how to use the spiritual weapons of warfare.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Ephesians 6:13-18
