Resurrection Sunday

18-Apr-2017

Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.

John 11:5

When Lazarus died, Jesus heard the news and then delayed his response...

The Father had communicated His divine plan - it pays to be attached to God. He provides the addition of supernatural power - get into His rhythm and flow.

These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

John 11:11

Death is not the finality of you, it is merely the passing through to the next dimension

Anastasis (Grk) - raise up/ rise again

Resurrection should be lived NOW! It is not assigned for history nor for the future.

Jesus said "I AM the resurrection and the Life"

I am = present tense

Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”

Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.

John 11:39

Unless resurrection penetrates the 'stench', there will be a gradual decomposition in your life.

A lot of people are trapped in tombs, you do not have to be dead to be entombed!

You can believe in God but do not necessarily understand the power of resurrection!

Lazarus knew Jesus and loved Jesus and yet at the end of his life, he had a stench.

His resurrection made Lazarus into something phenomenal - he became renowned.

Most preaching in Christianity is stuck at the foot of the Cross, and may go as far as addressing the 3 days of darkness... but there is a truth about resurrection that is not common place preaching!

The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him,

Matthew 22:23

There is a teaching that says there is no resurrection - a spirit that does not believe.

Without resurrection, there is only rules and religion!

Preaching without revelation is probed by the penetration of this same spirit.

Without resurrection, your life will only access God from a distance -

Distance asks for power

Resurrection accesses the power within

Distance is a seduction of demons that keeps you in poverty, in addiction and keeps your generations seperate from God.

There was a mystery, a precious secret that God held for generations. He reveals it in Colossians...

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:26-27

CHRIST IN ME

2 seperate beings who are totally absorbed, unidentifiably ONE.

If you struggle with the revelation of CHRIST IN ME, you will always live in distance, walk in weakness, below your full potential and always feeling 'less than'.

Teenage rebellion is simply the expression of losing their glory.

At teenagehood, a child will naturally move away from their biological parents but they must be deliberately transferred over to their spiritual parents.

Without this transfer, children are lost and they will connect to the world.

Adam was ONE WITH GOD!

When he lost his oneness with God Adam settled for the lower order of oneness which is sexual union... this was procreation.

Abraham was the beginning of the new era but God said "I, Myself, must come"

JESUS - God in human form... All God, All Man

A spiritual conception by The Word of God... this was no procreation, this was BEGOTTEN!

As Jesus, God was restricted by time, by hunger and fatigue for first time. Why would God limit Himself?

So that we are able to be begotten by God!

We have been named sinners, slaves, servants and even friends of God... through resurrection, we can be called BROTHERS (Adelphos) OF CHRIST.

We are begotten by The Word of God by the resurrection.

The Word + My Faith = Begotten

If you spend your whole life feeling inadequate and unworthy, you will forever fail.

You are saved by grace by faith; as if you are PERFECT!

How would you tackle your day if you lived it through this truth?

When Jesus died...

1. Jesus took the blood and laid it before His Father in Heaven - this continues to speak on my behalf today... the blood says I am Innocent.

2. Jesus took the keys to the gates of Hell - conquered death

3. Jesus was resurrected - the transfiguration of the man in a spiritual form. A human elevated to a new level - infused with God

Sinners saved by grace are always looking for grace to appease their sin mentality

A Son, with Christ within him, always looks to improve because they do not want to walk in anything less than what Christ deserves.

When you speak, God speaks

Wen you move, God moves
