And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!”
Jesus saw that the people in the temple were conducting every other business in the House of God than God's business. They were treating the House of God like a common market place.
Do not underestimate the importance of setting your feet into The House with expectation, you set an atmosphere.
What atmosphere do you set?
The more conditioned we are to this truth, the more concentrated the transfer of power will be.
Atmosphere is more powerful than words themselves.
Atmosphere influences more than you know.
Fathers set the atmosphere of their home. It should be an atmosphere of love, faith, Godliness and encouragement.
In the home is where children will develop their values
Jesus is the most spiritual being to ever walk into a church. He is love, He is grace, He is mercy. He is GOD!
Yet your holy beloved Jesus unleashed a throttling on the members of the church because of their wrong intention in their heart - the casualness in their hearts.
To say that Jesus was fired up for the church is an understatement.
Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”
We need to protect the place where God speaks!
If this place is being abused and mistreated with casualness, where else would we gather?
This is where heaven and earth converge.
This is where heaven is manifested.
This is the most sacred place.
Do not show up casual, unconditioned, unrehearsed and without excellence
When you hold value in something it is seen in your expression.
An expression of excellence shows that you value The House of God
An expression of casualness shows that you have forgotten its importance.
Zeal - Zealous (Grk) meaning HEAT: an intensity/ an emotional passion that causes you to express yourself.
Fear cannot stop your expression because zeal cuts through fear.
The lack of Zeal brings the suppression of your true expression. Passion is seen through your expression. The House of God should hold your passion. It seizes your inside world.
Some of our people lack the gift of communication. It is not a language problem, it is a suppression problem.
We have been dumbed-down and anaesthetised.
Once you are suppressed, you are easy to possess.
The most powerful oracles on the world should be the people of God with true expression.
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."
Of course God's preference is for you to be HOT for Him but if you're not hot, He would rather you are stone cold than LUKEWARM!
Lukewarm is similar to a simmer, not cold but not quite at boiling point.
The word 'simmer' in Greek comes from the word that means ... SUPPRESS!
Lukewarm suppress His People
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
2 Timothy 1:6
To stir up is ANAZPUREIN - to heat or lightning, fan into flame
HEAT IS EVERYTHING
Your church is a place of heat, power, love and faith.
You cannot bring a casual attitude into it and expect there to be a change.
Come ready, prepared and expectant. Come to receive and to contribute something.
The House of God is the salvation of every home in the country and around the world!
- of every person, born and unborn!
The House of God is the only hope of society!
... and it should be held in such regard
The word healing comes from the Greek word THEROPON and the root word is Theros - which means HEAT!
The basis of the power of healing is HEAT!
Jesus was so heavily charged with ZEAL that the heat from His spirit radiated and even saturated his natural garments - to the point where it healed the woman with the issue of blood.
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
The fire was lit but the HEAT drew the snake out!
Heat has the ability to draw out the demons that are hiding deep within.
Snakes cannot handle the HEAT
