The OTHER YOU
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands
2 Timothy 1:6
There is another you – this is not referring to the redeemed ‘You’ but the gift that God has put deep into your spirit. God placed this gift inside you just in case you were willing to believe bigger and inject more faith into yourself some day. This gift transcends limitation of ancestry and biology.
Charisma (Greek) – This is not a gift of the Holy Spirit but yet it comes from the Spirit of God. The best English translation for this gift is potential – the ability to become something not yet in existence. It is a seed that is yet to be nurtured.
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”… Gideon said to Him “If the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles, which our fathers told us about… Then the Lord turned to him and said “Go in this might of yours”
Mighty man of valor = a hero, a champion, a warrior with victory.
Valor = extremely brave
Gideon was the polar opposite of what God was saying, which was a contradiction to his circumstances. Gideon was so discouraged and thought so little about himself. But God saw him as ‘a winner before he had even raced’.
God was not talking to Gideon but talking to something IN Gideon. God ignored the groans of the ‘natural’ Gideon but stirred up something else inside of him.
God purposefully speaks to the potential rather than the ‘natural’ you because the ‘natural’ you would kill the word before it reached your seed of potential to allow it to grow.
God bypasses you and speaks to your gift
The resistance and inability to take what we hear and make it happen sits in every human being and that is why God tells us about Abraham; The Father of Faith.
God went deep within Abraham and spoke to his potential and Sarah had a child regardless of what their natural bodies would say. God went deeper than Abraham’s doubt and discouragement could reach and destroy it.
Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Abraham chose to strengthen himself with his staunch faith. He chose to believe, in spite of what he thought or what others said. Your thoughts and mind can contaminate the word of God; the prophecy but Abraham did not allow his thoughts to weaken his promise. He is the father of our faith so you can believe the way he did. It is in our DNA.
This word is to awaken your potential – strengthen your faith.
If you fear, change your mindset. Fear freezes your potential and cuts down your faith. And even other people seek to limit The Other You!
IF YOU WANT TO BE AN EAGLE, DO NOT START QUACKING TO MAKE THE DUCKS HAPPY
Let the weak say I am strong
Weakness of the soul: emotions and feelings. Most Christians live from their soul. Their desires and appetites rule them. But access to another dimension requires a strength and endurance in your spirit. Abraham’s promise would have only been mere wind if he had not strengthened himself; He did not stagger over the promise.
Do not allow your feelings to make you weak. Weakness makes you vulnerable and demons look for weakness to attach their wickedness too.
Also, do not confuse meekness for weakness.
If you are strong, you are meek but if you are weak, you are wicked.
How degenerate is your heart! Seeing you do all these things, the deeds of a brazen harlot.
When a heart is weak, it opens itself up to whoredom.
Whoredom = two-timing, up for sale, and saying one thing and doing another. And the deeds of a brazen harlot refer to commitment. Do not allow your spirit to be suffocated by your soul – your soul must be regulated.
O foolish Galatians! WHO has bewitched you?
Listening to wrong people will destroy you! The enemy surrounds you with wrong people, which is not a problem for those who are strong. If you are weak, you listen to them and they have access to your life.
When something untruthful is said, weak people facilitate and have coffee over it. If you are willing to compromise the truth for people to like you, you are weak and are available to be manipulated. Someone is able to talk you out of your destiny.
Compromising dads kill families but strong dads raise good families!
Watch out for casual advisor who are unintentionally talking rubbish from the sideline. Also watch out for spiritual imposers who are intentionally trying to trip you up by using doctrinal untruths.
Strength is such a depth of love and mindful of all people without compromising the truth of God’s word and His ways.
LET THE WEAK SAY I AM STRONG
