So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons and their daughters has been taken captive.

1 Samuel 30:3

The women and children were taken captive when the men were missing. David was winning out on the battlefield but was losing at home.

Because men are absent or even present but disengaged, our youth are being taken by the world, our sons are being mentored by society and our women have to carry a burden that is too heavy for them to bear.

There are plenty of good fathers in society but not necessarily RIGHT FATHERS; men who have found their manhood and have been made whole. These are the fathers that society needs, men who know how to cover their family, love their wife, speak to their children and know how to handle the difficulties of life.

No one is interested in how well you serve at church; they are more interested in the state of your home. What does your wife think of you? How do your children relate to you? A healthy home is a place of refuge, honesty and openness.

The power is in the home.

Two of the greatest stories in the bible with the greatest assignment of dominion and Kingdom purpose belong to teenagers. (David and Joseph). These boys had to have an inner world large enough to hold God’s big dream.

How does a teenager overcome being sold into slavery, being betrayed by his brothers and being falsely accused and imprisoned?

How does a teenage boy have the fortitude to RUN toward a trained killer, a nation’s champion and defeat him?

David and Joseph’s spirits were much more mature than their physical age. Their spiritual age gave them the poise to stand in any adversity and come out victorious.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

The Pharisees saw that Peter and John, who were preaching, healing and casting out demons were uneducated and untrained. Peter and John did not need any qualifications, credentials or experience. They had the spirit and the word of God.

To educate yourself is good but to be so educated that your spirit is now bound by the limitations of your own mind?

The spirit believes, dreams, pushes boundaries and flows like the wind while the mind seeks logic, questions ideas and needs concrete proof.

The world’s knowledge and education is the greatest paralyzing force of the potential of our young people.

The biggest trap of the enemy is to educate your children out of their faith.

The entrance of Your words give light; it gives understanding to the simple.

Psalm 119:130

Peter and John were able to speed up their destiny because of the spirit of God.

Light is faster than sound. Revelation is light and information is sound. The brain cannot deal with the light that can only be held by your regenerated spirit, and then understanding will follow.

One of these uneducated, untrained fishermen was Peter, The Rock on which Christ would build His church.

For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven

Matthew 16:17
